Hij beleend met tiendlanden onder Epe en de Boecop onder Emst, raad van de Hertog van Gelderland 1381, 1393 en 1394, ambtman en richter van Veluwe 1389-1396, overste-rentmeester en thesaurier-generaal van Gelderland 1395-96, 9 november 1393 beleend met de Hof te Mullingen bij Oldebroek, liet aan het eind van de 14e eeuw Elburg verplaatsen en ommuren in opdracht van Willem van Gulik, hertog van Gelre en graaf van Zutphen. De rechthoekige plattegrond van de stad werd door deze rentmeester ontworpen; zijn nog bestaande stadshuis in kasteelvorm uit eind 14de eeuw heeft tot 1954 gefunctioneerd als stadhuis van Elburg.
