    Het 'Monument 1940-1945' in Wijhe (gemeente Olst-Wijhe) is opgericht ter nagedachtenis aan alle medeburgers die tijdens de bezettingsjaren door oorlogshandelingen zijn omgekomen, en in het bijzonder aan de Canadese luitenant Andersons, die op 11 april 1945 bij de bevrijding van het dorp is gesneuveld. Op 7 mei 1945 is in een opslagloods van de Nederlandse Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten in de toenmalige vloerzeilfabriek munitie tot ontploffing gekomen. Hierbij kwamen negentien mensen om het leven.
