Hij is dan koopman te Zwolle en volgens de schade-rapportage 'zoo men zegd zeer wel vermogend en gegoed'. Hij heeft dan ook niets uit de collectekas genoten. De geschatte waarde van het huis was ? 5000,- en het pand was voor ? 6000,- bij 'de Jong' verzekerd. Zijn neef Gerrit Schuitert is op het moment van de brand huurder van het pand "Cents".(Parenteel Lavarne)
