    Op haar huwelijksdag was Hendrika 23 jaar oud en reeds 4 maanden in blijde verwachting.. Het gezin werd compleet met 7 zonen en 4 dochters. Toen haar man Hendrik Jan overleed in 1969 op 60 jarige leeftijd, hadden de jongste kinderen de leeftijden van: Lubertus nog maar 11 jaar oud, en Reina was 14 jaar en Johan Hendrik was 18 jaar oud. Zij waren toen ook nog minderjarig. Ondanks alle ellende heeft Hendrika de hoge leeftijd van 91 jaar mogen bereiken…
