    De 'Joodse plaquette' in Delfzijl is aangebracht ter nagedachtenis aan 136 joodse medeburgers die door de bezetter zijn gedeporteerd en omgebracht.

    Op 11 maart 1942 werden 136 joden gedwongen Delfzijl per trein te verlaten. Na een verblijf in Amsterdam werden zij via het doorgangskamp Westerbork op transport gezet naar de vernietigingskampen Auschwitz en Sobibor. Van hen keerden slechts twaalf terug. Twee joodse onderduikers (de gebroeders Sleutelberg) werden vlak voor het eind van de oorlog in Farsum doodgeschoten.
