Zijn was niet gehuwd en woonde nog bij haar ouders. Haar zuster Duifje was gehuwd in 1942 maar woonde eveneens nog thuis.
Golda Pach was vanaf 17 juni 1941 werkzaam bij de textielfabriek Hollandia-Kattenburg in Amsterdam.
Op woensdag 11 november 1942, omstreeks 16.30 uur, deed de Sicherheitspolizei onder leiding van Willy Lages een inval in de Hollandia-fabrieken. Alle uitgangen werden afgezet en de joodse medewerkers van het bedrijf werden ‘s avonds weggevoerd. Van alle die avond weggevoerde werknemers, maar ook van de werknemers die al eerder op transport waren gesteld, is in het 'Boek der tranen' een foto opgenomen.
