    Het monument 'Het Verstoorde Leven' in Deventer is opgericht ter nagedachtenis aan alle joodse medeburgers die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog door oorlogshandelingen om het leven zijn gekomen, waaronder Etty Hillesum, die op 30 november 1943 in Auschwitz door de bezetter om het leven is gebracht. Daarnaast dient het gedenkteken als waarschuwing tegen hedendaagse vormen van discriminatie.
