Notes about Mattheus Stochius

Mattheus werd in 1592 op aanbeveling van zijn oom Nicolaas Stochius uit Leiden aangesteld als rector van de Latijnse school in Wijk bij Duurstede. In 1616 ontsloeg het bestuur hem omdat hij vanwege zijn vele nevenfuncties te weinig tijd besteedde aan zijn werk als rector.
