Deze Peeter Verelst was pachter van de Wittecruyshoeve van de Sint-Bernardsabdij in Hemiksem. Na zijn huwelijk woonde hij eerst in Schelle, maar tussen 1663 en 1666 verhuisde hij naar Hemiksem.

Zijn dochter Maria Catharina Verelst werd non in het klooster van Bethaniën in Mechelen.
