Kolonisten Frans Mandos (28) en Geertrui Halverhout (33) arriveren 21 augustus 1820 uit Schiedam, met drie kinderen, januari 1821 en maart 1823 komen daar nog twee bij. Ze hebben twee weeskinderen uit Rotterdam in huis, maar één daarvan - Florian Rigter - verdwijnt na een desertie-poging al snel naar de Ommerschans.
In ruil krijgen ze juni 1821 een wees uit Dordrecht, maar die wordt vrij vlot weer overgeplaatst.
