Notes about Clazien (Clasina Maria) Makker
Tante Clazien zoals ze in de volksmond werd genoemd, heeft veel gedaan voor het sociale leven in Eemnes. In 1934 heeft ze onder andere met pastoor Müter de Katholieke Boerinnenbond opgericht. Ze was de eerste voorzitster van deze Vrouwenbond. Juist bij het feest ter gelegenheid van het 25-jarig bestaan van deze bond (nu KPO) is ze in 1959 overleden. Ook heeft ze diverse functies uitgeoefend binnen het Wit-Gele-Kruis. Ze was jarenlang penningmeester van deze vereniging en ging de contributie per voet innen. Ze liep soms twee keer de hele Meentweg en Wakkerendijk af, als de mensen de eerste keer dat ze kwam geen geld hadden. Ze was secretaresse van deze Kruisvereniging tot 1953 en tot haar dood bleef ze ook lid. Clazien Makker heeft zich ook nog speciaal ingezet voor de erkenning van de familie Makker als Erfgooiersfamilie. In 1951 heeft ze de erkenning aanhangig gemaakt bij Stad en Lande van Gooiland. In een officiële zitting van het College werd haar verzoek ingewilligd waardoor haar neef Gijs Makker, die toen al te Laren woonachtig was, de voordelen van het Erfgooierschap kon genieten. Bij de uitspraak had men zich gebaseerd op het stuk uit 1768 dat eerder in dit artikel is genoemd.
