1259. Digna (Dina) Cornelisdr. Negenooge, geb. Tholen circa 1640; overl. na 21-1-1700 (Weeskamer Tholen, inv. 15, fol. 93 v); tr.(1) Atthanasius Corn. Oliphant (van Cattendijke), Kapelle 1663 (RAZE 2939; ZA, Gen. Afsch. 129, nr. 1141) (uit dit huw. dochter Applonia); Atthanasius Oliphant (landman te Wemeldinge) kocht 13-2-1654 van zijn drie broers (Jan, David en Marinus) en zijn zuster Catelijnken 4/5 part in een hoeve (te Wemeldinge) met 75 roeden eigen erf en 115 roeden vroonland, gelegen in ‘den houck daer Adriaen Noutsen in woont’; voorts kocht hij 4/5 part in een boomgaard van 244 roeden gelegen in ‘den Oosthouck’; hij betaalde £ 333-6-8 (RAZE 3597, fol. 112 v).



(NB: het geslacht Oliphant is afkomstig van Reimerswaal; daar was Willem Janszn. Oliphant schepen in 1543; B. de Keijzer (red.), Spelerieë, Kapelle 1992, p. 122; zie ook: A. Romeijn, De stadsregering van Tholen (1577-1702), Giessen, 2001, p. 236).
