KRAAYVANGER (Frederik Stephanus) werd 1810 geboren te Steenderen, overl. Jan. 1873; volgens zijne begeerte opgeleid tot geestelijke der r.k. Kerk en opgenomen in de orde der Franciscanen. Na eerst geruimen tijd in verschillende kloosters te hebben vertoefd, was hij in verschillende plaatsen van ons land kapelaan. Na jaren van strijd verliet hij Febr. 1863 de r. kath. Kerk en werd hij bevestigd als lidmaat der ned.-herv. Kerk. Door de Evangelische Maatschappij in Mei 1863 aangesteld als evangelist, nam hij die betrekking, zijne woonplaats kiezend te Haarlem, een tiental jaren waar.
