In een schrijven van Dr H.J. Olthuis uit Rotterdam van 23 Febr. 1929 geeft deze een vertaling van het grafschrift op de zerk van Wilh. Lobé.. Het luidt aldus: Wilh. Lobé Philosofisch Doctor der Utrechtsche Universiteit en Predikant, eerst te Kockenge, vervolgens te Elburg. Geboren 24 Mei 1684, overleden 19 Sept. 1750.
