In 1793 kopen Cornelis Steenbeek x Evertje van Putten op 03-10-1793 voor f ? van Jan van Vlaanderen x Cornelia van Huigenbosch een huis, hof en gang aan de noordzijde, vanouds genaamd "Het Bonte Paard, dog aldaar nu De Prins uithangd" in het dorp achter de kerk (Recht. Arch. Scherpenzeel 9, fol. 73; 05-02-1794).

(Comment) : In 1783 koopt Cornelia Willems van Huigenbos voor f 350,= van haar ouders Willem Cornelissen van Huigenbos x Kobisjen Gijsberts hun huis en hof genaamd Het Bonte Paard, met vuurplaten, haalbomen, de beste klerenkast en het beste bed, in het midden van het dorp. Voorwaarde: haar ouders mogen hun leven lang in het huis blijven wonen met het gebruik van de hof. (Recht. Arch. Scherpenzeel 8, fol. 175; 25-11-1783. Afschrift in Westerholt 250. Rekening 1783)..
