Was ook jarenlang vice-voorzitter van de Nederlandsche Bond van Gemeente-ambtenaren, voorzitter van woningbouwvereniging ‘de Haemstede’ en medeoprichter van de Vereniging ‘Oud-Heemstede-Bennebroek’. Ontving de gouden erepenning van de gemeente Heemstede.
