    Parmi elles, celle de Marc JACQUERER. N√ã vers 1621, il avait en 1659, six enfants. Laboureur de profession (ce qui contredirait la l√ãgende car le laboureur √ج¨·Äö un statut social plus √ãlev√ã que le berger), il est probablement √ج¨·Äö l'origine des SCHACHERER vivants √ج¨·Äö l'heure actuelle.

    "L'Estat g√ãn√ãral de la Seigneurie et Comt√ã de Thann", r√ãalis√ã en 1698 par Joseph GOBEL, procureur fiscal de la seigneurie et du comt√ã de Thann, donne quelques indications int√ãressantes sur le village d'Elbach √ج¨·Äö cette √ãpoque.

    Elbach faisait partie de la prËvÛtË de Traubach et, au niveau spirituel, de la paroisse de Dannemarie. On y dËnombrait alors douze maisons, 133 journaux de terres labourables et 68 arpents de prËs. Le bËtail se composait de 2 chevaux, 16 boeufs et 20 vaches, rËpartis entre dix familles.
    Parmi elles, les SCHACHERER en reprËsentaient la moitiË (cinq familles sur dix !).
    Nous y trouvons les familles de Michel Ulrich, Pierre Marc et Jacques SCHACHERER.

    D'Elbach, une branche se fixa √ج¨·Äö Manspach au XVIII√Šsi√Åcle: celle de S√ãbastien et d'Anne SCHWOB.
    Parmi leurs sept enfants, Jean y naquit en 1759.
    Le nom de famille s'Ëcrivait alors parfois SCHACHER.
    Jean SCHACHER partira √ج¨·Äö Delle pour y exercer son m√ãtier de tanneur.
    Son fils aÌnË, Joseph Nicolas nommË SCHACKER (francisation du nom) y Ëpouse en 1807 Marie Elisabeth Antoinette DUBAIL, fille d'un avocat du Conseil Souverain d'Alsace.
    En 1908, elle lui donne un fils, Jean-Baptiste SCHACRE, dessinateur et architecte de renom (biographie de J.-B. SCHACRE par Jules JOACHIM).

    Les deux volumes de "The Alsace Emigration Book" qui viennent de para√åtre nous apprennent que Joseph SCHACHERER, n√ã vers 1804, √ج¨·Äö Traubach-le-Haut, demanda en juillet 1838 un passeport pour se rendre √ج¨·Äö New York, alors que Jean SCHACHERER, de Hindlingen, sollicitera son passeport pour l'Am√ãrique en juin 1856.
    Bel exemple de longËvitË, les SCHACHERER reprËsentant toujours la famille la mieux implantËe dans le petit village d'Elbach.
