Lors du recensement de 1698, il poss√®de 1 charrue, 4 chevaux et 2 b√¢Ü·Äöufs, ce qui fait de lui le laboureur le plus important du village de Largitzen, essentiellement compos√© de manouvriers, et l·Äòun des plus ais√© dans la vall√©e de la Largue...
Jusquဘen 1719, les registres paroissiaux précisent quဘil est < civis in largitzen et mayeri supra larg. > (bourgeois de Largitzen et maire de Largitzen le Haut - 1708, 1713, 1718, 1719), maire de la vallée de la Largue (< meyer auff der Larg >, 1677, 1708) ou encore < maieri in Largitzen > (maire de Largitzen, 1715).
De par ses fonctions de maire seigneurial, nommé par le comte de Montjoie-Hirsingue, Hans HUBSCHWERLIN assistait, ou tout au moins ratifiait, chaque transaction, contrat ou inventaire passé devant notaire dans la vallée. Ainsi retrouvons-nous, dès 1708, sa signature dans le notariat ancien de Largitzen : < hans hibschwerlin maire aüff der larg > ou plus simplement < hans hibschwerlin maier > (1).
Le 1er d√©cembre 1708, il constitue un patrimoine pour son fils Jean qui ach√®ve ses √©tudes de th√©ologie (2). Il est pr√©sent √ج¨·Äö la r√©daction des contrats de mariage de sa fille Catherine, le 4 d√©cembre 1704 (3) avec Jean JELSCH (fils de Georges, de Hirsingue) et d·Äòune seconde fille pr√©nomm√©e Agn√®s, le 4 juillet 1711 avec Fran√ßois ERHART de Seppois le Haut (4). Les douaires - 100 florins compt√© chacun √ج¨·Äö 15 batz pour le premier, 100 livres de B¬âˆ‘le pour le second - promis par les futurs √©poux sont √ج¨·Äö la mesure de l·Äòaisance de la famille.
Sans doute malade, il fait proc√©der les 16, 17 et 18 janvier 1718 (donc deux mois avant sa mort) √ج¨·Äö l·Äòinventaire et partage de ses biens entre ses neufs enfants.

Selon Hirschler, il avait épousé le 16 février 1676 Catherine PFLIEGER, de Hirtzbach.
