Drie ervan zijn zussen (Theodora Everarda Bronkhorts, Hendrina Sara Bronkhorst, Helena Cecilia Bronkhorst) en één is hun nichtje (Anna Charlotte Bronkhorst).
De verwantschap loopt via de beide grootmoeders, respectievelijk overgrootmoeder Catharina Hulsthoff (ca. 1808-1839), die huwt [te Rembang] in of voor 1827 met Johan Godtlieb Fredriksz (ca. 1803-1878).
Catharina's zuster, Alida Barentina Hulsthoff (1796-1863) huwt te Rembang in 1820 met de pakhuismeester van het zoutverkooppakhuis aldaar, Pieter Jacobus Lapré (1761/1762-1830). Zij zijn de grootouders van zowel de gebroeders alsook de neef Lapré.
