Sioux County Capital, January 7, 1965, Died December 17, 1964: Mr. Arie Kuyper Succumbs Dec. 17 - Mr. Arie Kuyper passed away at his home on December 17, 1964 after a lingering illness at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 26 days. He was born at Pella, IA in 1882, and moved to the Newkirk area when quite young and lived the rest of his life in the community. He was the son of Mr. & Mrs. John Kuyper. In the year 1909, he was married to Jennie Vander Velde.
His survivors include his widow, Jennie; one daughter, Mrs. William (Carol) Vande Hoef, and one granddaughter Greeta Vande Hoef; two sisters, Mrs. Henrietta Dougherty of Villa Grove, Colo. and Mrs, Katie Sefton of Walsenburg, Colo. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, one grandson, Arlyn Jay Vande Hoef and one brother, Sebastial Kuyper.
