Hermina Vedders E born 1875 in Den Ham,Netherlands.Married in 1896 to Riemer (Raymond) Kempema, born 1870, died 1948 in USA. They had nine children.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hermina Kempema, 87, who died December 12 at the Sioux Center hospital were held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Porter funeral home and at 1:30 p.m. at the Christian Reformed church in Rock Valley. Rev. John Byker officiated. Burial was in Valley View cemetery.
Mrs. Kempema was a longtime resident of the Rock Valley community. She was born in the Netherlands April 28, 1875. Survivors are ten children, Henry, John, Herman, Mrs. Martin Kooistra. Mrs. John Kooistra, and Mrs. John Van Maanen, all of Rock Valley; Charles of Hull; Ernest of Sioux Center, Clarence of Hudsonville, Mich., and Mrs. Peter Groeneweg of Hull. Also survived by 48 grandchildren, 73 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
