Notes about Edgar de VALOIS

This community was shocked and grieved over the instant death of Edgar DeValois, the result of a run-a-way accident which happened Thursday morning, August 26th, at ten o'clock. Edgar was about to leave the Farmers' Elevator with a load of seed when his team became frightened, throwing him from the wagon, the wheels passing over his body. Without a moments notice this young man had been called home. He was taken to the U. P. parsonage where the body awaited the arrival of the coroner and undertaker.

He was the son of Mr. C. DeValois of Boyden. He leaves a wife and two small children, besides his brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held at Boyden, Saturday afternoon. -Death notice from The Sioux County Index (9/3/1926)
