Notes about Johannis FREDRIKS

He was a timmerman or carpenter in Holland and also the US. Edward Ruishe writes in a family history provided by Barbara Hessler " On two successive Sundays, May 7th and May 14 1871 Johanna and Johannes officially announced their intentions of marriage, a requirement that permits objections, prevents bigamy, gives assurances of having a place to live and of having financial support. Soon after marriage on May 4 1871, possibly a one way honeymoon, they left for the United States."

Most of the men in This family line died in their fifties.
