Bernhard II van Saksen (ca. 995 - 29 juni 1059) was een zoon van hertog Bernhard I van Saksen en Hildegard van Stade. In 1011 volgde hij zijn vader op als hertog. Bernhard leefde op gespannen voet met Hendrik III. Hij streed met de religieuze overheden van Hamburg-Bremen en streed tegen de Wenden. Bernhard was gehuwd met Eilika van Schweinfurt, dochter van markgraaf Hendrik I, en werd vader van:
Ordulf van Saksen (1022-1072)
Herman (-1086)
Gertrude (-1115), in 1050 gehuwd met graaf Floris I van Holland (-1061) en in 1063 met Robrecht de Fries (-1093), graaf van Vlaanderen
Ida (-1102), gehuwd met hertog Frederik van Neder-Lotharingen (-1065) en met graaf Albert III van Namen (-1102)
Hadwig, gehuwd met graaf Engelbert I van Spanheim (-1096).
