Ghisekijn uter Lyere heeft een dochter “die gehuwd is met een lid van een familie die als wapen een schuinbalk voert. In Delfland komt hiervoor slechts het geslacht Van der Burch te Rijswijk in aanmerking. Dit neemt in genoemd ambacht een vrijwel gelijke positie in als de uter Lyere's in De Lier. Zij hebben er een uitgebreid landbezit, ten dele in leen van de hofstad van Wassenaar, tienden in in leen van Teylingen en van de graaf enkele ambachtsgevolgen als tijnzen en botting. Ook bezitten zij er een omgracht huis.

Als eerste wordt vermeld Simon van der Burch van 1230 tot 1237, gelijktijdig met een Dirc van der Burch, wiens vrouw in 1234 voorkomt. De eerste heeft een zoon Jan, die zelf weer twee zoons nalaat, Symon en Jan. Uit het veronderstelde echtpaar spruit echter een zoon Ghisekijn van Ammers, die voor 1282 overleden is. De meest aannemelijke echtgenoot is dan ook Dirc van der Burch.
