In 1912 overlijdt de zuster van haar oud-tante Liedeweij de Bruijn en ook dan erven nazaten uit de Schrootentak nog geld:
"Willemina de Bruijn te Brielle en de verdere gerechtigden in de nalatenschap van Lideweij de Bruijn, weduwe van Frans Schrooten aldaar, doen afgifte van een legaat van f 500 aan Willem Drektraan , magazijnmeester te Rotterdam, als in huwelijk hebbende Wilhelmina Schrooten, aan Gerrit Schrooten, waterstoker te Rotterdam, Hendrik Schrooten, werkman, Dirk Schrooten, verver, Gerrit Schrooten, verver, en Alida Schrooten, allen te Schiedam.
