Met den aanvang van het jaar 1780, toen de vorm van het blad iets grooter en eene nieuwe letter ingevoerd werd, onderging de courant bovendien èn in haar hoofd, door het wegvallen der onderscheiding van Maandagse, Woensdagse en Vrijdagse Courant, èn in haar adres eene wijziging. Het opschrift werd nu: Ao. 1780. No. 1. Leydse Courant. Maandag den 3 January.’, en het adres: ‘Te Leyden by deWed. Anthony de Klopper op de Breede Straat;’ doch dit laatste werd reeds met No. 19, van Maandag 14 February ‘de Wed. Anthony de Klopper en Zoon.’ Bedoelde zoon was Mr. Felix de Klopper, die den 22sten Februari 1763 geboren werd, 23 December 1782 promoveerde, 1 Juli 1783 huwde met Elzelina du Rieu, en na haar overlijden op 18 October 1785, den 27sten December 1786 hertrouwd is met Sara Catharina Kroef. In datzelfde jaar 1780 overleed de eigenlijke redacteur van het blad J.L. Stammetz, die toen opgevolgd werd
