Martia was een nakomeling. Op 8-jarige leeftijd ging zij ergens schommelen, ondanks dat ze daar niet mocht van haar ouders. Ze viel uit de schommel achterover op haar hoofd. Ondanks haar hoofdpijn en nekklachten durfde ze het bijna niet te vertellen. De volgende ochtend was ze overleden ten gevolge van de val uit de schommel.
