Notes about Jan Koudijs

Gekeurd voor de militaire dienst d.d. 9 dec. 1895. Hij woonde toen in Zwolle. Goedgekeurd. Beroep; schilder. Lengte 1,629 m. Grijze ogen, blond haar. In dienst gegaan 13 maart 1896. 1e regiment vesting artillerie. Naar Landweer 1 aug. 1904, Landweerdistrict 18 en op 20 maart 1908 naar district 47.

Tussen 18 december 1908 en 30 april 1913 was het gezin van Jan en Geertruida woonachtig in Amersfoort. Eerst het adres Oude Dievenweg en later de Soesterweg. Deze informatie is ontleend aan de gezinskaart uit het Bevolkingsregister. Waarschijnlijk abusievelijk (aangifte Geertruida of Jan zelf?) wordt aangetekend dat Jan, na enige tijd afwezig te zijn geweest (??) op 9 februari 1911 terugkeert en dat zijn vorige adres N. Amerika was.... Bij mijn weten is Jan echter nooit in Amerika geweest.

Uiteindelijk verhuist het hele gezin naar Soest, Laanstraat D140 op 30 april 1913. Ook wordt er op de Veenhuizerstraat gewoond (de latere Koninginnelaan). Op 6 november 1914 gaat het gezin naar Utrecht.

In het adressenboek van de gemeente Utrecht komt hij in 1917 voor op het adres Van Lennepstraat 33. Beroep; "schilder".
