Voor hun huwelijk woonde Reyer te Carnis en Aagje te Poortugaal. De echtelieden voegen op 7 augustus 1753 een codicil toe aan hun testament (notaris Pieter Eyken te Poortugaal). Volgens dit codicil heeft hun zoon Gerrit de keus "oft hy haar beider huys en erve die ddor haar bewoont werden, staande en gelegen te Poortugaal, met een bed en peluw en toebehoren, mitsgaders een kas en een klokje zal willen aanstaan voor de somma van 700 guldens, offte in plaatse van dien bij forme van praelegaat vooruit zal moeten trekken een somma van 300 guldens (en nog wat)." Maar als hij bij overlijden der langstlevende is getrouwd vervalt de keuze en moet de rest onder hare 5 kinderen worden verdeeld.(GA Schiedam, ONA inv no 854 bl 332 ev).
