Leendert was van beroep Landbouwer en heeft op de boerenstee "Valckenstijn"gewoond aan de Slotvalckenstijnschendijk nr 61< Kruising met de Slotsedijk keuse richting Poortugaal en Rhoon>
. Na de annexatie van dit gebied op 1 mei 1934 werd het Slotsedijk nr. 199 te Rotterdam.

Enige tijd geleden kwam de
Oudheidkamer van Poortugaal in het bezit van
nog een stuk natuursteen met
inscriptie in Latijn: Pietati sacrum.
Aan de zijkant staat: Franciscus.
De steen is gevonden tussen de
Slotsedijk en de Vondelingenweg
in de jaren 50/60 van de vorige
eeuw bij het ploegen van een
akker door de heer L. Koster,
boer aan de Slotvalkensteinsedijk
199.
Op de plaats waar de steen is
gevonden stond vroeger slot Valckestein. Aan de hand van de
inscriptie is de oorsprong vastgesteld als afkomstig van het
kasteel.

Leendert bezat bouwland aan de Slotsedijk ()anderhalve bunder aardbeienland,gemeente Poortugaal, Harsland, Kiesheid en in deHil grensende aan het land van Leen Meijboom aan de Heijschedijk.
Leendert bezat zo'n 20 koeien en kocht een kalf van Jacob Biert dat later een kampioen melkgeefster werd, een kalf van haar was ook een bijzonder dier en werden beiden dan ook jonge en oude Biert genoemd
