WE HEBBEN `T HAALD.

Ze hebben het gehaald,Jan Plak en Trien Plak –Dekker. Op 26 april j.l. vierden ze hun 50-
Jarig huwelijksfeest. ‘Een hele rit maar zo voorbij ,’ aldus mevrouw Plak.
Het begon allemaal op de kermis van Tuitjenhorn , de geboorte plaats van mevrouw Plak.
In de zaal van Bleeker maakten ze nog voordat de oorlog uitbrak een dansje met elkaar.
Van het een kwam het ander.Op 3maart fietsten ze door de Posten , een paadje door het
bouwland en de kortste weg, naar het gemeentehuis van Harenkarspel te Dirkshorn om te
trouwen voor de wet. Wat hadden ze het mooi gevonden als ze getrouwd waren door hun
eigen burgermeester Nolet .Helaas moest Nolet samen met zijn vrouw onderdiuken .Hun
elf kinderen werden ondergebracht bij diverse gezinnen in de gemeente Harenkarspel.
Een N.S.B burgemeester stond in 1944 aan het roer en trouwde Jan Plak en Trien
Dekker . ‘’Gelukkig hield hij het kort , we hadden niks met de N.S.B. op,’’ aldus het echt-
paar Plak. Op 26 april 1944 werden ze in de kerk van T uitjenhorn getrouwd door pastoor
van der Kolk. Trien had een trouwjurk gehuurd en Jan ging in zijn zondagse pak.Voor de
briuloft hadden ze overal wat vandaan gehaald. Het was een tijd geleden, dat zij en hun
gasten zo lekker gegeten hadden. Ze hebben een prachtige dag gehad.Jammer was het,
dat hun wederzijdse ouders overleden waren en geen getiugen meer mochten ziun van hun
huwelijk. Jan woonde voor zijn huwelijk aan ’t Verlaat, toen nog gemeente Harenkarspel.
Via,via konden ze een huis huren aan de Middenweg in Heerhugowaard vlakbij de kerk
Aan het Noordend op D 40. Ze konden land huren bij de Leiendijk waar Jan aardappelen
