Aquasi Boachi, zoon van prins Aquasi Boachi en Sajot, werkte op Java en Sumatra bij het boswezen als bosarchitekt. Hij was een zeer bescheiden persoon met weinig woorden. Zijn vader werd in Nederland tot ingenieur opgeleid. Zijn grootvader was koning van Asanti (het tegenwoordige Ghana Afrika) en was een goede vriend van koning Willem III. Als geschenk aan diens grootvader bood koning Willem III hem een bijbel aan van circa 40 bij 30 bij 25 cm. Uitgever Jacob Hendrik Keur, Dordrecht 1756. Naar aanleiding hiervan werd Aquasi Boachi te Beilen door tussenkomst van diens burgemeester bij Haremajesteit koningin Juliana ontboden. Hij had van die uitnodiging echter geen gebruik gemaakt.
De bijbel is in Juli 1974 aan zoon Aquasi Pieter Louis in Galifornia U.S.A. geschonken.
