Tante Lenie heeft een foto van hun huwelijk! Hierop o.a. de opa en oma van Marianne, Gre,Cor en Jacob. Geertruida acob ontmoeten elkaar in 1919 en hij heeft toestemming gevraagd aan Arie Zuurmond die dat weigerde. Vervolgens stuurde Jacob aansichtkaarten naar Geertruida. Na een jaar nodigde Nicolaas van der Linde haar weer uit. En toen was het trammetje verlengd naar Burgh. Zij is echter in Scharendijke uitgestapt. Met een rijtuigje met Pinksteren naar Burgh gegaan. Zij kwamen op 2e pinksterdag in Haamstede bij de paasenhil. Een duin bij de molen. Er kwamen zangkoren en er was een Pinksterrede. Toen vroeg hij Geertruida ten huwelijk. Toen vroeg ze niets meer aan Arie maar stuurde hem een telegram met de mededeling "ik ben verloofd". Voor de bruiloft kwam de hele familie uit Schevingen over. Het werd een groot feest. met Boeren
