Een Familie Tragedie

Maria Catherina Kloppenburg is mijn nicht, 3 generaties verwijdert. Ze werd op 10 November 1836 geboren.
- Haar moeder stierf toen ze bijna 9 jaar oud was
- Haar broer Wim stierf 24 jaar oud, haar zusjes Christina stierf op 3 jarige leeftijd, en Hendrina op 2 jarige leeftijd
- Catherina trouwde op 28 jarige leeftijd en haar eerste kind werd doodgeboren
- Haar 2de kind Johan stierf na 2 maanden
- Haar 3de kind Maria stierf na 3 maanden
- Haar 5de kind Maria Catharina stierf na 5 maanden
- Haar 7de kind Henriëtta Jacoba stierf na 8 maanden
- Haar 8ste kind Hendrik stierf na 5 maanden
- Haar 9de kind Henriette Hendrika stierf na 5 maanden
- Twee jaar na de dood van Henriette stierf haar echgenoot Hendrik op 40 jarige leeftijd. Maria Catharina bleef alleen achter met 2 jonge kinderen van 8 en 11 jaar!

Haar (4de) kind Johan trouwde en werd 56. Haar (6de) kind Maria trouwde, had 3 kinderen en werd 66.
Het is nu meer dan 154 jaar geleden dat ze trouwde met Hendrik Maassen. Ze overleefde hem voor 28 jaar en werd uiteindelijk 72 jaar oud!
