mijn vader heeft als machine bank werker bij Stork Werkspoor Diesel gewerkt.
Hij stond de laatse 10 jaar aan de grootste draaibank van europa en bewerkte onder andere scheeps motoren van oceaanstomers.
Op 57,5 ging hij vervroegd met pensioen.
Ferdinand was de dood van zijn vrouw niet meer te boven gekomen.

Joop en els ( zoon en schoondochter) gingen op woensdag naar hem toe en vonden pa half in coma in bed. Omdat pa een levenswil had getekend die iedere behandeling verbood, een pittige dag gehad om te beletten dat hij naar het ziekenhuis gebracht zou worden. donderdag avond moesten joop en els naar huis door omstandigheden.

vrijdag morgen op weg naar pa, kregen wij een telefoontje op 10 minuten rijden afstand, dat hij overleden was. dit was tegen 10 uur. Personeel was er rond 9 uur nog geweest en toen leefde hij nog.
Pa en demiyan bronsvoort hadden een speciale band. Sven dorst niet mee naar de begrafenis, maar demiyan wou opi nog zien voor hij een sterretje zou worden.
Demiyan had een tekening gemaakt die op de kist mee ging het graf in. En tijdens de uitvaart dienst zat zoon joop met demiyan op de grond en heeft demiyan de kist versierd met tekeningen.Een geweldige ervaring en jaren later weet demiyan nog steeds wie opi was en hoe hij zat in de auto. Het handvat boven de deur hield hij vast en liet niet los voor ze op de plek van bestemming waren.
