in de VT1950 staat vermeld dat Pleun Nouwen een huwelijk had voor zijn relatiue met Maria Nicolina Guicherit, dat leidde tot een echtscheiding. Waarschijnlijk betreft het de relatie met Adolphina W. Tyndall, aangezien de relatie met Marie Antoinette de Vries eindigde door haar overleiden in 1922.
Nader onderzoek is nodig om te bepalen waar en wanneer de echtscheiding werd uitgesproken.
Het is onduidelijk hoe de naamgeving van AWT's kinderen plaatsvond, waardoor kinderen geboren tijdens de relatie met Pleun Nouwen toch de geslachtsnaam Flu kregen
