Notes about Catharina Hoen

Van Nicolaas Hoen zijn vier kinderen bekend, twee zonen en twee dochters. Zijn zonen waren Herman en Johan. Van zijn dochters heette een Catharina. De voornaam van de andere dochter is onbekend.(12). Van haar weten we wel dat ze gehuwd was met ridder Ivo van Carthils. Dat verklaart waarom
het geslacht 'Carthils' nadien de naam 'Hoen
van Carthils' heeft aangenomen. De tweede
dochter van Nicolaas Hoen, Catharina, was
gehuwd met Jan II van Wittem.(14)
Van de hierboven vermelde kinderen was
Herman waarschijnlijk de oudste. Zijn broer
Johan, ook wel Johan Hoen van Voerendaal.
