Daniel Hoen van Hoensbroek, heer van Spaubeek, maakt op 7 juni 1433 in Sittard zijn testament. Het is in regestvorm gepubliceerd. (1) Hij vermaakt aan zijn natuurlijke zoon Daniel 200 Rijnlandse guldens uit zijn huis te Spaubeek en de daar gelegen goederen "aen Truden Roß", die hij als onderpand voor die 200 gulden krijgt. Bovendien ontvangt hij zijn wapenrusting "eyn pansser". Daarna zijn er geen bronnen waarin hij vermeld wordt. Honderd jaar later treffen we in Spaubeek Willem Hoen aan, van wie wij vermoeden dat hij de kleinzoon van deze Daniel is.
