Ente vertrok 31 december 1913 naar Zandvoort (Duinlaan 12), en trok na het huwelijk met Trien Deen (in Blokker) in op Kerkdwarspad 13 in Zandvoort. Daar werden hun 5 kinderen geboren. Het gezin verhuisde naar Schoten (nu Haarlem-Noord) vroeg 1922, en daarna naar Alkmaar in 1923, waar ze kort woonden op het Varnebroek, en daarna tot ca 1936 op Dijk 23a. Vandaar verhuisden ze naar Verdronkenoord 74.
