Notes about Jan Cornelisz Keesman

Jan koopt op 25 september 1739 het huis van zijn vader aan het oosteind van de Twee Wegen en de Barsingerweg terug van Pieter Cooij. Op 24 oktober 1739 verkrijgt Jan het recht om met zijn damschuit op Alkmaar te varen. In 1752 heeft hij het recht verkregen om vanuit zijn huis brood, zout, azijn, koffie en thee te verkopen. Jan Cornelisz Keesman koopt uit zijn winst veel stukken land in de Wieringerwaard. Hierdoor groeit Jan uit tot de op één na grootste boer van de Wieringerwaard met 49,5 morgen land. (zie blz. 89 van het boek van J.T. Bremer "Heren, boeren en knechten")
