Volgens de Klapper op trouwen van Schagen 1657-1811 trouwt er op 8 februari 1695 in de Zijp een Jan Cornelisz( Brederoe) met Maartje Ariaens. In de akte wordt alleen gesproken over Jan Cornelisz en het is ons niet duidelijk waarom dit boek de naam Brederoe vermeld. In de akte blijkt hij weduwnaar van Schagen en wonende op de Mieden. Hij trouwde met Maartje Ariaens j.d. wonende in de Zijp. De kinderen vermeld in onze stamboom van Jan Cornelsz Brederoe moeten dus van zijn eerste vrouw zijn.
Volgens de akte van notaris Hofkerck van 8 october 1692 waarbij zerken Claas en zijn zwagers garant staan voor de vrouw en kinderen van Cornelis Ariensz Miede staat dat Jan Cornelisz Brederoe in huwelijk had Maartje Ariens. De bovenstaande trouwpartij kan dus over andere mensen gaan.
