    Ik heb Frank doorverwezen naar Henk Jaspers. Henk geeft vervolgens uitleg:

    "Frans, of zo als hij genoemd werd,Cis Bindels was aardappelen handelaar. Hij woonde op de hoek van de Houtstraat, met de nu Niersweg, toen gewoon de Wal. Aan huis verkocht hij ook groenten en nog wel andere dingen.. Hij was en grote -trotse- man. Hij was bekend bij iedere boer n de omgeving van Gennep die maar aardappels teelden. Op het eind van de oorlog werd hun huis
    weggevaagd. In die tijd werden op gezag van de burgemeester gezinnen bij anderen ondergebracht. Zo ook Cis Bindels met de zijne. Ze kwamen terecht op nummer 6 van de Zandstaat. Dat was Hendriks de Groentebroer!Nu is daar Pizzerria Eufraat. We weten dat zeker omdat de dochter Truus in 1948 vanuit dit huis trouwde met Gerrit Fleuren. Cis verkocht de ruïne van het huis (Nu woont op die plek M. Wilberts) en heeft een nieuw huis laten bouwen aan de Wagenstraat 23. Er werden 14 kinderen uit dit huwelijk geboren! Hij hield zich bezig met wat aardappels handel en stierf op 31 -1-1957. Zijn vrouw onderhield het groentewinkeltje tot aan haar dood op 229-4-1962!

    Cis Bindels werd oom genoemd door mijn schoonvader (Kolenboer van de Nijmeegseweg) daar hij de broer was van zijn schoonmoeder, Willemina Bindels van de Högt aan de Bloemenstraat Milsbeek."
