Een en ander is pas ontdekt bij (verplichte) overlegging van de huwelijksbijlagen, waaronder een geboorte-akte, ten behoeve van het huwelijk van Harmke met Alko Julius (25-01-1879).

Bij vonnis van de Arrondissements Rechtbank te Winschoten dd. 26-12-1878 (twintig jaar later, en 1 maand voor het huwelijk) is de akte hersteld. Harm werd Harmke en 'van het vrouwelijk geslacht' !
