"Judocus van Almarez, geboren in 't Brabantse dorp Londerzeel, heeft al zijn goederen aan 't Franciscaner klooster van de derde regel, de Beggaarden in Sint-Truiden geschonken en werd daar op 15 juni 1558 als monnik geprofest. Hij was een ijverig voorstander van 't kloosterleven en een theologisch auteur. Hij schreef het tractaat "de tribus virtutibus theologicis"bdat in zijn tijd niet verboden was. Andere werken van hem zijnb"De frequenti usu SS. Sacramenti Eucharistae"en "Varia spiritualis medidationi"."
