Bandtsterschans is het tegenwoordige Terband aan de noordkant van het klaverblad bij Heerenveen. Sintjes is een patroniem en komt van Vincent. Het huwelijk van de mogelijke ouders van Jelle werd in dezelfde plaats gesloten register 590 dd 13-3-1639. Het waren Sent Jans uit Heerenveen en Aeffke Dircks uit Irnsum
