    Zonen van de smid Pieter van Oosten (1829-1896) die onder meer werkt in Voorburg, Naaldwijk en vanaf 1857 in Overschie aan de Schie (waar nu de A-13 de Schie kruist). Hier maken zij ook schaatsen. Waarschijnlijk hebben ze het van hun vader geleerd.

    Het betreft een Ouderkerks model met koperen knop. Waarschijnlijk zijn er ook krulschaatsen gemaakt. De stapels zijn van donker hout. Er zijn tot ca 1910 schaatsen gemaakt.

    Adrianus (Arie) is scheepmaker en scheepstimmerman. Hij werkt onder andere in Schiedam en Delft. Gerardus (Gerrit) is in 1890 smid aan de Zestienhovenkade 132.
