Martha Mare was hoogzwanger bij haar ondertrouw. Na 2,5 week, nog voordat ze in het huwelijk treedt, bevalt ze van zoon Johannes. Het feit dat Johannes Mes gereformeerd was zal zeker bijgedragen hebben bij een moeizaam tot stand gekomen huwelijk.

"Ingevolge het placcaat van de Edele Groot Mag. Heren Staaten van Holland en de Westfriesland in dato den 24 January 1755, zullen de Huwelijksproclamatien van de bovenstaande persoonen moeten gaan van zes weken (*na elke proclamatie 6 weken tot de volgende) tot zes weeken zodanig dat de voltrekking van het zelve huwelijk mede eerst zes weeken na de derde proclamatie zal mogen geschieden. (*in verband met het gemengde huwelijk RK en NH)".

Opmerking: Bruidegom: 1 kind Gereformeerd. Bruid: 3 kind Roomsk.
