      *Na de lagere school St.Marie in Roosendaal gaat Kees in naar de Johan Berchmans Ulo. Vervolgens in naar de Kweekschool Jean Baptiste de la Salle in Oudenbosch. Daar behaalt hij in 1964 zijn onderwijsbevoegdheid en in 1965 zijn hoofdakte.
      Scholen: Fatimaschool voor basisonderwijs te Bergen op Zoom 1965 - 1968
      Montinischool voor LOM-onderwijs te Roosendaal 1968 - 1971
      De Lindenburg voor LOM-onderwijs te Roosendaal 1971 - 1998.
      Door fusie opgenomen in de Sponder 1998 - 2005

      Na drie schooljaren als groepsleerkracht te hebben gewerkt op een lagere school te Bergen op Zoom, heb ik bewust gekozen voor het Speciaal Onderwijs en ben ik als groepsleerkracht aangesteld aan de Montinischool te Roosendaal.

      In 1971 wordt ik benoemd tot directeur van de op te richten tweede LOM-school in Roosendaal:
      de Lindenburg.
      De school start met 3 groepen (= 45 leerlingen). Het schoolteam bestaat naast mij uit 3 leerkrachten.
      Het bestuur geeft mij de opdracht de school verder uit te bouwen en het onderwijs aan kinderen met leer- en opvoedingsmoeilijkheden in Roosendaal verder te ontwikkelen en gestalte te geven.
      Onder mijn leiding wordt in de loop der tijden het volgende gerealiseerd:
      - nieuwbouw van de school
      - de uitgroei van de school van 3 naar 9 kerngroepen SO-afdeling
      - het initiëren en realiseren van de afdeling voor In hun Ontwikkeling Bedreigde Kleuters
      - de verdere uitgroei van deze IOBK-afdeling tot drie groepen
      - de herhuisvesting van de school met bijbehorende verbouwingen in een ander vrijkomend schoolgebouw na een jarenlange dislokatie.
      Vanaf 1991 geef ik leiding aan een team gemiddeld bestaande uit 34 personen.

      In 1998 komt er een fusie tot stand van de scholen voor speciaal onderwijs in Roosendaal. De Lindenburg, de Montinischool en de 2 scholen voor MLK de Tarcisius en St.Agnesschool worden vanaf 1 aug. De Sponder voor speciaal basisonderwijs. In aug. 1999 volgt ook de H.Hartschool voor MLK uit St. Willebrord in deze fusie.Ik wordt de directeur van deze grote school, die in de eerste jaren rond de 500 leerlingen telt met rond 120 medewerkers.
      Per 1 oktober2005 ga ik in de VUT.
