Oliesel en meermalen de H. Absulutie ontvangen te hebben, zonder tot bewustzijn te zijn gekomen, in de Heer is overleden. Op 18 mei is Petrus begraven met zijn strijdmakkers op de algem. begraafplaats aan de Kerkhoflaan.
